Ms. Rana Hakam

Ms. Rana Al-Hakam holds a bachelor’s in science, biochemistry, and mathematics. She received her primary and elementary credentials from the American Montessori Society. Ms. Rana has over 15 years of teaching experience and has been part of the CDB family for seven years. She is also an Instructor at the Houston American Montessori Center, teaching, and training future Montessori teachers.

In 2021, Ms. Rana led Casa Dei Bambini School to achieve its first accreditation with (NAEYC) The National Association of Young Children.

Every child is unique and deserves a caring, inspiring, and engaging environment in which to grow emotionally, intellectually, and socially. As an educator, Ms. Rana wants to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing a safe, risk-free, and collaborative environment. In addition, her goal is to help and support students develop positive character and leadership traits essential to becoming future leaders.

As at all Montessori levels, the Elementary program is based on the belief that children learn best through movement and work with their hands. It provides cognitive, social, and emotional support to help them reach their full potential. What sets Montessori apart in the Elementary years—ages 6 – 12—is the individually paced curriculum that challenges children academically and safeguards their well-being and sense of self. Engaging as contributing members of a respectful community, Ms. Rana works with her students to question, think critically, and take responsibility for their learning—skills that will support them in later education and life.
